Fees

The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommended fee for a 50-minute psychology session is currently $318. Robyn aims to provide a more affordable service.

Standard Consultation Fee

50-minute Session: $230

Medicare Rebates:

With a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP or psychiatrist, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $98.95 per session (for up to 10 sessions per calendar year, subject to Medicare guidelines).

Robyn Wright is currently undertaking the Clinical Psychology Registrar Program. Upon completion of the required supervised practice and formal endorsement by the Psychology Board of Australia, the Medicare rebate will align with the Clinical Psychologist rate (currently $145.25 per session).

Rebate amounts are set by Medicare and may change over time.

Private Health Insurance:

Depending on your level of cover, you may be eligible for rebates through your private health insurance provider. Please check with your insurer for details.

Financial Hardship:

This is not a bulk-billing service. However, a limited number of reduced-fee sessions may be available each month for individuals experiencing financial hardship.

Workers Compensation and CTP:

Robyn is a SIRA-approved psychologist and provides psychological services under the NSW Workers Compensation (WorkCover) and Compulsory Third Party (CTP) insurance schemes. If you are eligible for treatment under these schemes, psychological sessions are typically funded by your insurer, meaning there are generally no out-of-pocket costs.

Fees for psychological services are set by the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) and are billed directly to your insurer. Robyn works collaboratively with insurers to ensure all required documentation and billing processes are completed appropriately.

Prior to your initial appointment, it is important that you obtain approval from your insurer for psychological treatment. This helps ensure that your sessions are covered and avoids any unexpected costs. Following your initial consultation, a treatment plan will be developed based on your individual needs. An Allied Health Treatment Request (AHTR) will then be completed and submitted to your case manager to request approval for ongoing sessions.

If you are unsure about your approval status or have any questions about the process, you are welcome to contact your insurer or discuss this with Robyn prior to your appointment.
